STATEN ISLAND, NY -- #36 Rowan finished in third place at the METS Championship held at the Ocean Breeze Complex on Friday for its best finish at the event.

The Profs totaled 50 points on the day. Monmouth was the top team with 180.5 points to edge out second-place St. John's (174). Fordham was third with 91.5 points.

Notes from Friday's meet:

- Shannon Stakelbeck ran a PR in the 5000 meters (18:20.93) for a new #1 NJAC time

- Gabriella Pagano won the mile run with a second-fastest personal time (4:59.13)

- Ava Rizzo (2:18.48) and Lisa O'Sullivan (2:18.99) hit an indoor PR's in the 800 meters to place third and fourth respectively; Rizzo and O'Sullivan teamed up with Gianna Burgio and Jezena Aponte to take first place in the 4000 distance medley relay (12:45.16)

Next weekend, the team will head back to Ocean Breeze for the Fasttrack Invitational on Friday, February 6th.
