GLASSBORO, NJ - Fifth-ranked Johns Hopkins held off a rally by #14 Rowan to post a 3-2 win in field hockey today, in a game that was rescheduled from Saturday due to storms in the area. It was the Profs' first loss of the season, moving them to 3-1.

Johns Hopkins (2-1) jumped out to a 2-0 lead with first-half goals from Kaitlin Coward. Coward tallied the first at 12:04 and the second at 28:22 to give the Blue Jays the advantage.

Kaylee Wenzel ended the shutout when she tallied the Profs' first goal at 36:47. Her unassisted tally was the first goal of the year to pull Rowan within, 2-1.

JHU scored another just two minutes later to go up, 3-1, but
Mia Foti pulled the Profs within one, 3-2, with a goal before the end the third.
Peyton Ryan sent a pass into the cirlce that Foti deflected into the right side for her third of the season.

Mariah Juiliano and the Profs' defense faced 11 corners and 16 shots from the visitors with the Profs' goalie making 10 saves on the day.
Tess Strittmatter came up with a save off the goal line in the final minute of the third quarter for Rowan.

Rowan remains at home and will host Stevens on Wednesday at 4 p.m. before heading on the road for three straight games.
