WASHINGTON, DC - Freshman Sydney Kowalczyk scored two goals as #12 Rowan rolled to a 4-0 win over Catholic (0-6) in field hockey action this evening. The Profs have won two in a row and improve to 4-2 on the year.
 
The Profs dominated on the attack, outshooting the Cardinals, 14-0, as Mariah Juiliano posted her second shutout of the season.
 
Kowalczyk scored at 9:04 to get things started as Rowan would hold a 1-0 halftime lead. Early in the second half she followed with another unassisted goal at 33:30, marking her first multiple-goal game as a Prof.
 
Alexa Ronning tallied her first goal of the year as time expired in the third quarter on a corner, with the insert pass from Paige Gray.
 
Jenna Gray closed out the scoring just 23 seconds into the final quarter to put the game out of reach. It was her second goal of the season.
 
Rowan is on the road again on Saturday when the Profs visit Haverford at Noon.
