HAVERFORD, PA - Haverford scored a pair of second-half goals to hand #2 Rowan its first loss of the season, picking a 2-0 decision in men's soccer. The Profs are now 5-1-1, while the Fords remain unbeaten with a 4-0-3 record.
 
The teams battled through a scoreless first half, with the home team holding a slim 4-3 edge in shots.
 
Haverford struck in the first three minutes of the second half on a goal from Kieran Kunihiro at 47:45 to go up 1-0.
 
The Profs couldn't find the back of the net the rest of the way and had to play a man down in the final 18 minutes. Haverford's Thomas Vanni iced the win with a goal at 75:21.
 
Haverford held a 12-10 advantage in shots with Rowan keeper C.J. Norton making four saves on the day.
 
Rowan returns home on Saturday to take on Salisbury with a 1 p.m. start.
