SCRANTON, PA - Davide Caputo scored in the 71st minute to give #2 Rowan a 1-1 tie with Scranton in men's soccer action today, as the Profs move to 5-0-1 on the year.
 
Trailing 1-0 since the second minute of the match, Caputo netted his goal at 71:59 to help the Profs avoid the loss. Johnny Troiano assisted on the goal, giving him a team-high 15 points on the year while it was the third goal of the season for Caputo.
 
Scranton (2-0-2)wasted no time taking the lead as Jake Acosta scored at just 2:03 into the match.
 
Rowan held a 12-8 advantage in shots while Travis Holiday and C.J. Norton split time in goal, combining for three saves.
 
The Profs are on the road again this week, visiting Haverford on Wednesday. Rowan returns home on Saturday, September 20 to face Salisbury.
