COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Rowan's Jenna Gray, Tess Herman, Gracie Merrick and Alexa Ronning have been named to the 2025 NFHCA Watchlist, and are among the 175 student-athletes from 84 Division III institutions to earn the recognition.
This list is intended to showcase those field hockey student-athletes with the strongest potential for consideration to the current year's NFHCA All-Region and All-American teams. To be nominated for the 2025 NFHCA Watchlist, student-athletes must have been previously recognized for their outstanding field hockey abilities within the past two years (NFHCA All-Region, NFHCA All-American, All-Conference, Senior Nexus Championship selection, NCAA All-Tournament Team, and/or U.S. National or International Team roster) and nominated by their NFHCA member coach.
Gray, a sophomore, was the conference's Rookie of the Year and an All-Region First Team selection in her initial season with the Profs. The team's second leading scorer with 11 points, she had two goals and a team-high seven assists to also be chosen to the All-NJAC First Team.
Herman earned NFHCA All-America Second Team honors after making her third appearance on the All-Region Team. She was named the NJAC's 2024 Defensive Player of the Year while anchoring Rowan's defense that held its opponents to 36 goals in 23 games. A two-time All-NJAC First Team selection, she totaled three goals and an assist last year while netting one game-winning goal for the Profs.
Merrick, a junior, received All-NJAC Honorable Mention in her first season with the Profs. She recorded five goals and handed out an assist to total 11 points on the year, while picking up two game-winning goals.
Ronning, a sophomore, also made an impact in her first season at Rowan, earning a spot on the All-Region Second Team and the All-NJAC First Team. She ranked third on the team in scoring with 15 points (5 goals, 5 assists) and was the Profs' specialist in penalty strokes, converting 3-of-3 on the season.
The NFHCA Watchlist does not constitute a nomination or selection to the NFHCA All-Region or All-American teams. Student-athletes not listed on the NFHCA Watchlist may still be nominated for NFHCA All-Region and All-American recognition.
The #14 Profs get the 2025 season underway against #18 Ursinus at 4 p.m. at Coach Wackar Stadium.
