GLASSBORO, NJ - The success achieved by Rowan University athletics' teams in 2024-25 is heightened by the individual accomplishments of the Profs' student-athletes on the national and regional levels.

Two more NCAA champions from Rowan were crowned this year when Jason Agyemang captured the 60m hurdles at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships and Jamir Brown won the 110m hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Those victories increased Rowan Athletics' all-time total of individual national champions to 75.
All-America honors were earned this year by 45 student-athletes in 11 sports (indoor and outdoor track counting as separate sports), with some Profs picking up the accolades in multiple events.
In NJAC competition Rowan captured 45 individual conference titles in the sports of track & field (indoor and outdoor) and swimming with 160 Profs receiving All-Conference honors in all sports.
The Profs also excelled in the classroom with five student-athletes receiving one of college athletics' highest distinctions with selection to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Teams. This year, Johnny Troiano (men's soccer), Ella Pennington (women's swimming), Payton MacNair (softball), Liz McCaffery (softball) and Mollly Lodge (women's track & field) added their names to Rowan's list of Academic All-Americans which totals 42 all-time.
As a whole, Rowan's student-athletes performed well in the classroom, by posting an average cumulative GPA of 3.34 for the academic year, which was the highest in four years. A total of 435 Profs were designated as the University's Scholar-Athletes and Scholar-Athletes of Distinction, while numerous student-athletes received regional academic honors from coaches' organizations and the College Sports Communicators.
Overall, Rowan earned a 17th-place finish in the final 2024-25Â LEARFIELDÂ Division III Directors' Cup standings, which recognizes the overall excellence of the athletics program. It marks the highest finish for the Profs since 1998-99 when the program garnered a fifth-place finish, and a 17th-place finish in 2005-06.
Rowan had representation in 13 NCAA Championships by either full teams or individuals, and saw the baseball, men's indoor track & field and men's outdoor track & field teams register third-place national finishes, with softball finishing fifth. The field hockey, men's soccer, women's soccer, women's cross country and women's lacrosse squads were also NCAA Championship participants.Â
The Profs also captured their fifth consecutive NJAC Cup, which represents overall success for an institution's athletic program during the year of conference competition. The 2024-25 title is also Rowan's seventh in the eight years of the award. Rowan won NJAC Championships in field hockey, men's soccer, women's cross country, men's cross country, men's indoor track & field, men's outdoor track & field and softball.
