EASTLAKE, OHIO -
Zach Coluccio threw a four-hit complete game and
Jason Morgan drove in a career-high five runs to lead #15 Rowan over #6 Trinity (TX), 13-2, in the 2025 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship, marking the Profs' first World Series win in 20 years. Rowan (37-11) will now play again this evening at 8 p.m. against #4 Denison, which lost to UW-Whitewater in a winners' bracket game.

It is the first win at this stage for head coach
Mike Dickson and Rowan's first since a 10-0 decision over Hampden-Sydney in the first round of the 2005 World Series held in Grand Chute, WI.
Coluccio (10-1) tossed the first complete game of his career and posted six strikeouts.
Morgan was 3-for-5 in the game with a double and home run, as the Profs outhit the Tigers, 15-4.
Tyler Cannon,
Damon Suriani and
Brayden Davis each had two hits as did catcher
Karson Harcourt, including the 100th hit of his career.
After being held scoreless through the first four innings, and trailing, 2-0,Rowan broke through in the fifth when Morgan sent a pitch over the rightfield fence for his seventh home run of the season. Suriani followed with a double and then Davis sent one over the left-center fence for his second home run of the championship, and eighth of the season.
The Prof loaded the bases on a single by
Eric Sabato, bunt singles from
Joey Bogart and Harcourt. Cannon was hit by a pitch to drive in a run and
Phil Sedalis drew a walk to do the same.
Marco Mannino reached base on a fielder's choice and Harcourt scored, giving Rowan a 6-2 lead, while Trinity (41-10) used three pitchers in the inning.
Rowan added five more in the seventh, as Harcourt led off with his 100th hit and eventually scored on a single by Sedalis. Morgan then hit a two-run double and Suriani drove in two with a single to increased the Profs' lead to 11-2.
Trinity used a total of seven pitchers and was eliminated from the tournament.
