CAMDEN, NJ - Rutgers-Camden jumped out to a 7-0 lead and never looked back as the sixth-seeded Scarlet Raptors defeated second-seeded and #16 Rowan, 19-7, in a winners bracket game of the 2025 NJAC Baseball Championship. Rowan (31-9) will now play third-seeded TCNJ for a berth in the championship series on Friday at 11 a.m. at Rutgers-Camden.

The winner of Friday's first game will play Rutgers-Camden (28-15) at 2:30 p.m., with the Scarlet Raptors needing only one win to clinch the conference title. If another game is necessary, it will be played on Saturday at Rutgers, with the game time to be announced. TCNJ eliminated top-seeded Kean, 9-1, to stay alive in the tournament.

Rutgers-Camden took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first and kept going, scoring multiple runs in its first three at-bats. The Scarlet Raptors held a 7-0 lead before the Profs could get on the board.

In the third, Rowan scored three on four hits and a Rutgers error.
Jason Morgan drove in
Phil Sedalis with a single and
Brayden Davis hit a two-run single to score Morgan and
Marco Mannino, pulling the Profs within 7-3.

Rutgers-Camden added four runs on four hits in the third inning to go up, 11-3. Rowan added one in the fourth as
Karson Harcourt led off with a single and scored on a sacrifice fly by Mannino. But the home team scored five more runs in the bottom of that inning, led by a two-run triple from B Patrick to take a 16-4 advantage.

Harcourt had another RBI in the fifth with a single to bring home Davis, and Cannon's  ground out allowed
Nick Struble to cross the plate and cut Rowan's deficit to 16-6.

Rutgers tacked on three more in the seventh inning and Rowan added its final run in the eighth as Morgan had a fielder's choice RBI that allowed Cannon to score.

Damon Suriani was 3-for-5 with two doubles to lead the Profs with Davis picking up two hits and two RBI.

Starter
Zach Coluccio went 1.1 innings and suffered his first loss of the season (7-1), while the Profs used seven relievers the rest of the way. Rutgers-Camden's starter Ethan Carpenter (7-2) earned the victory.
