CAMDEN, NJ -
Karson Harcourt and
Tyler Cannon had three RBI each as #20 Rowan defeated Rutgers-Camden, 11-2, in NJAC baseball action. The Profs improve to 18-7 and 4-3 in the NJAC.
Damon Suriani and
Joey Bogart had three hits apiece with
Phil Sedalis and
Dave Appolonia posting two each.
Zach Coluccio (4-0) earned the victory, going seven innings and striking out eight, with
Christian Rice closing out the final two innings.
Rowan led from the start taking a 2-0 lead in the second when Harcourt hit an RBI double and
Tyler Cannon hit a sacrifice fly to score
Joey Bogart.
The Profs scored four more in the fourth on an RBI single by Cannon, a fielder's choice from
Jason Morgan and a two-run single from
Brayden Davis to go up 6-1.
The Scarlet Raptors got on the board in the bottom of the fourth and Rowan followed with three in the seventh. Harcourt hit a two-run single that scored
Damon Suriani and Davis. Cannon hit another RBI single to give the Profs an 8-1 lead.
Rowan added two more in the eighth when
Dave Appolonia singled to bring home Morgan and
Marco Mannino.
The Profs' game with Rutgers-Camden, originally scheduled for Friday, has been moved to Monday. Saturday's doubleheader at Ramapo has been changed to Sunday.
