CLERMONT, FL -- #4 Rowan defeated Wisconsin-Stout, 10-2, to give head coach
Kim Wilson her 1,000th career victory becoming the first female Division III coach to earn the distinction. With the Profs owning a 16-0 record this season, Wilson is now 1000-360-2 in 35 years and is 935-303-2 in 29 years at Rowan, coaching the Profs since 1997.
Earlier in the day, the Profs took down #16 Wisconsin-Stevens Point in six innings, 10-0.
The NFCA Hall of Fame coach has led the Profs to nine New Jersey Athletic Conference titles and 20 NCAA Tournament appearances, including a third-place national finish in 2023 and 2024. Wilson's career record includes six seasons at Washington & Jefferson College.
Game one (Wisconsin-Stevens Point, W, 10-0 F/6)
In a matchup of two nationally-ranked teams, Rowan put together key hits and took advantage of three Pointer errors to go and take the game in six innings.
Payton MacNair was 3-for-5 with a run scored and added a two-run triple.
Aly Reim walked twice and scored twice and
Abigail Pawlowski added an RBI double.
Rylee Lutz struck out seven with just one walk while tossing her fourth one-hitter of the season to go to 7-0 on the year.
Leading 2-0 in the fourth, the Profs plated three unearned runs after a two-out error in the outfield. With runners on first and second, MacNair cleared the bases with her triple to right center. Pawlowski followed with a double down the line in right to score MacNair for a 5-0 edge.
The defense turned double plays in the fifth and sixth innings to help squash any Pointer offense. The Profs added five runs in the top of the sixth on four hits, two walks and two hit by pitch to end the scoring.

McKenzie Melvin in the bottom of the fifth helped Rowan walk it off to give Coach Wilson the career milestone.
The Profs jumped ahead with three runs in the first and exploded for six in the second. Reim's two-run triple and MacNair's RBI double highlighted the frame.
Starter
Emily McCutcheon (7-0) spun three scoreless innings with
Makayla Veneziale finishing if off.
MacNair and Melvin each had three hits to pace the offense.
The team is back at it tomorrow with games against Springfield (9 a.m.) and Babson (11:30 a.m.) down at The Spring Games in Central Florida.
