MAHWAH, NJ - Ramapo outscored Rowan, 18-4, in the final six minutes to earn a 92-85 win over the Profs today in NJAC men's basketball action. Rowan is now 12-6 and 9-6 in the NJAC.
Taz Cantey scored 20 points to lead the Profs and
Dan Mason had a career-high 19 points. Mason scored a team-high 15 points in the first half as he missed only one shot and connected on 3-of-4 three-pointers.
Danny Fleming and
Tyrese Myrick scored 12 points each and
Brycen Williams tallied 11.
Rowan led by as much as nine, 72-63, with 10:57 remaining in the game. The Profs were up 81-74 on a three-pointer by Williams with 7:12 but Ramapo scored seven in a row to knot the score at 81-81. From there, the home team went on an 11-4 spurt to earn the victory.
Mason hit three consecutive three-pointers midway through the first half to pace a 13-3 Profs' run that gave them their biggest lead of the half, 24-16.
Ramapo (16-6; 10-5) closed the gap to 36-32 with over four minutes to play with three straight long-range field goals. Rowan scored the final five points of the half to head into intermission with a 46-38 lead. The Roadrunners connected on 7-of-16 from beyond the arc in the half with Rowan making four of eight.
Next up for the Profs is a key NJAC matchup with TCNJ (10-5) on Wednesday, February 12 at 7:30 p.m.
