HOBOKEN, NJ -- Stevens handed Rowan a 65-44 setback in non-conference action on Tuesday in the Profs' final game of the calendar year.
Emily Poulas finished with nine points and
Natalia Barrera kicked in eight all off the bench. Poulas' nine points and four steals were career highs.
Charlotte Carlies added five boards, four points and three blocks.
Olivia Schubiger totaled 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Ducks who also got 10 points, seven assists, six rebounds, and three steals from Leyla Castro. Stevens outscored Rowan, 19-7, in the final frame as Audrey Kehoe scored six of her 10 points in the quarter.
Schubiger's eight points in the first helped the home team to get out to a 22-12 lead. Rowan kept within arm's reach, as a late three from
Ava Kraybill put the Profs within five (29-24). Stevens answered with a three at the buzzer for an eight-point edge. The Ducks opened the fourth on an 8-0 spurt to hold a double-digit lead the rest of the way.
Rowan heads to Johns Hopkins this weekend for the JHU WBB Classic. On Saturday, the Profs tackle Medgar Evers at 2 p.m. followed by a Sunday matchup with the host Blue Jays on Sunday at 3 p.m.
