GLASSBORO, NJ -- #11 Rowan will play in the 2025 NJAC Women's Soccer Championship after the Profs took down TCNJ in penalty kicks, 3-1, Tuesday evening in a semifinal matchup.Â
The game ended at 0-0 after regulation, meaning a tie for both teams, and after two overtime periods it was the second-seeded Profs advancing to the final at top-seeded Montclair State on Friday at 7 p.m. The NJAC is utilizing digital ticketing and there will be no cash accepted. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for senior citizens, students and children and can be purchased in advance.

Leah Edinger made the game-winning save in the fourth round of the shootout to send the Profs to their ninth appearance in the conference championship and a chance at a fifth NJAC title in program history.
Rowan outshot the Lions, 22-4, but neither side could find a lead. The Profs were awarded a penalty kick in the 33rd minute after a handball in the box, but
Sara Wiedeman's attempt was saved by TCNJ keeper Ellen Williams to keep things scoreless.
The Profs pressed in the second half, registering 10 shots, but Williams was able to keep the home squad off the board.

Angela Oliveto had to great looks in the first overtime on a flurry in front of the cage, but to no avail.
The teams traded goals in the first round of the shootout but Abby Najdzinowicz's attempt to start round two was over the crossbar.
Lianna SanFelice countered with her goal. In the third round, TCNJ's chance from Caroline Freer drew the crossbar while Wiedeman buried her attempt for a 3-1 lead in the best-of-five shootout. The Lions' Taylor Krott, needing a score to extend the back-and-forth, was denied by Edinger to send the Profs to the finals.
Williams made nine saves for TCNJ with Edinger credited with two stops.
