SALISBURY, MD - #14 Rowan was edged by #4 Salisbury, 2-0, in a battle of nationally-ranked field hockey teams. It was the Profs' second straight Top 5 opponent and marked the final non-conference game of the year, as they are now 13-5 on the season.
 
Salisbury (14-2) scored in the second quarter, at 22:44 on a goal by Megan Bradford, and the score remained that way until the final quarter. The Sea Gulls tacked on an insurance goal by Alex Kupper at 48:49.
 
Rowan was outshot in the game, 15-4, but still had chances on three corners.
 
Mariah Juiliano faced 10 shots in goal for the Profs and came up with eight saves.
 
The Profs return to NJAC play on Saturday, November 1, for the regular-season finale against Montclair State at noon. Rowan clinched its fifth consecutive NJAC regular-season title last week and will be the top seed in the conference championship. Rowan will host a semifinal game on November 5th with the opponent and time to be announced when conference play commences on Saturday.
