GLASSBORO, NJ -- The Rowan Men's Swimming team hosted Swarthmore on Saturday in the team's senior day, but it was the Garnet handing the Profs a 175-87 setback on Saturday at the Tony Lisa Natatorium.
Prior to the meet, the team honored
Tobias Cahnbley,
Justin Goglia, and
Gavin Luong and their families.
FINAL RESULTS
Luong took first in the 50 free (21.47), and third in the 100 free (49.22). He was part of the 200 medley relay (1:37.06) and the 200 free relay (1:26.88), both of which finished second.
Cahnbley was second in the 200 backstroke (1:57.90) and third in the 1000 free (10:07.52). He also swam in the 100 back (56.58) and was part of the top 200 free relay.
Gogila placed fourth in the 200 free (1:45.78) and sixth in the 500 free (4:54.99).
Brandon McMahon claimed first in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.80) with
James Bygott in second (1:00.89). Rookie
Jim Mahoney was second in the 200 breaststroke (2:10.80) and fifth in the 50 free (22.94) while also competing in the 200 free and 200 medley relays.
The team (2-5) will now prepare for the 2025 New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships that run Thursday, February 13th to Sunday the 16th at the Aquaplex in Hampton, Virginia.
