GLENSIDE, PA - Freshman
Mia Foti scored the first two goals of her career to help Rowan to a 4-0 win over Arcadia in non-league field hockey action, to improve to 2-3 on the year.
Allie Palumbo added a goal and assist in the victory while
Mariah Juiliano made one save to notch her first shutout of the year.
Palumbo got the Profs off to a quick start at 2:46 into the game with the assist from
Jenna Gray.
Lily Bataloni gave Rowan a 2-0 lead just minutes later with an unassisted goal, which was her first as a Prof.
In the second quarter, Foti scored her first collegiate goal as she took a pass from Palumbo at 22:52. The freshman then put the finishing touches on the win with an unassisted goal at 33:58.
The Profs dominated on the attack, taking 20 shots on goal to just one for Arcadia (2-4).
After playing their first five games on the road, the Profs will finally be on home turf when they host Catholic on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. at Coach Richard Wackar Stadium. That begins a stretch of five consecutive home games for Rowan.Â
