GLASSBORO, NJ -- #13 Rowan will host #3 Christopher Newport in the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament Super Regional round beginning on Thursday, May 23rd in an updated start time of 3:30 p.m. in a best-of-three series format.

The second game takes place on Friday, May 24th at 1 p.m. with an 'if necessary' game starting at 3:30 p.m.

Winners from the 16 super regional rounds will move on to the NCAA Championship series at East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas, May 30-June 5. Both Rowan and Christopher Newport advanced to the championship series last season.

The Profs advanced out of its own Glassboro regional with a 9-1 win over MIT on Saturday, going 3-0 over the three-day tournament. Regional MVP Rylee Lutz won all three games for Rowan in the circle and was joined on the all-tournament team with Breanna Bryant, Payton MacNair, and Kaitlyn Riggs.

The Captains did the same, winning its own regional at home this weekend, beating John Jay (4-1), Ramapo (7-4), and Pfeiffer (6-4) on consecutive days to advance to the Super Regional round. CNU's Candice Slaw was named MVP of the regional that featured four other Captains on the all-tournament team (Kate Alger, Jules Donnelly, Brooke Greaver, and Delaney Nuckols).
