GLASSBORO, NJ -- Visiting Skidmore took a 9-2 lead into halftime en route to a 14-8 victory over Rowan on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action.
The Thoroughbreds scored the first two goals of the game, before Rowan's Trish Killen cut the lead in half at the 6:42 mark of the first quarter. Skidmore responded with five straight tallies and led 7-1 with 12:45 to play in the second. 
Elaina Corson found the back of the net (6:18), but Skidmore scored the final two goals of the frame.
Each team scored four times in the third quarter, as 
Molly Green, 
Hannah Lombardo, 
Fiona Lockhart, and 
Calista Burke all recorded a goal for the Profs. Corson scored her second of the game to cut the deficit to six (13-7) with 12:59 to play in the fourth, but the Profs couldn't get closer than that six-goal margin.
Corson ended the game with three goals and four ground balls along with a game-high 6 caused turnovers. Goalie 
Mel Rodgers suffered the loss in net for Rowan, making seven saves. 
Kylie Durboraw made three saves in 8:27 of action. The shots were even at 29, while Skidmore controlled 14 of 26 draws.
Gabriella Modesti led Skidmore with five goals and six points on the day.
Rowan returns to action on Monday, March 18th as they travel to face Clarkson in Sparks, MD.
