Cason Earns Spot on Philly-SIDA Men's Cross Country All-Area Academic Team

PHILADELPHA, PA -- Joshua Cason was selected to the 2024 Philly-SIDA Men's Cross Country All-Area Academic Team.

He becomes the fourth Prof in as many years to be named to the team. The Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area teams are nominated for, and voted on, by the sports information directors at 30 institutions in the Philadelphia region. Student-athletes must be in at least their second year at their current institution and hold a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.30 or higher to be considered for nomination.

The Management Information Systems major was named the 2024 NJAC Runner of the Year after capturing the conference individual title helping the Profs to its third-straight crown and the 26th in team history. Cason, a senior, finished second at the NCAA Metro Region Championship and was one of three Profs (Matthew Conway, Miles Voenell) to qualify for the Division III National Championship race as well.

Joining Cason on the team is Peter LaRochelle of Haverford, Dylan Throop of Penn, Tom Flear of Widener, Sebastian DeSimone of Gwynedd Mercy, McCallum Rowe of La Salle, and Liam Murphy from Villanova. Murphy was voted the performer of the year.
