GALLOWAY, NJ --
Joshua Cason finished second at the 2024 NCAA Metro Region Championship helping lead the Profs to a second-place finish. Stockton served as the host for the regional meet on Saturday.
FINAL RESULTS
Cason clocked in at 24:46.5 behind top finisher Peter Larochelle of Haverford (24:34.8) but the Fords finished in third place (89 points). Moravian put five finishers in the top 10 to total 29 points in winning the regional and earn an automatic bid to the Division III Championship next weekend.
Miles Voenell was eighth (25:06.3) with
Matthew Conway in 12th (25:17.4),
Caleb Clevenger in 13th (25:23.1), and
Colin Patterson in 27th (25:45.3). The top 35 place winners will earn all-region status as well in a list that also includes
Scott Hubbard who was 33rd (25:49.9).
The Profs did earn individual bids to the championship race next weekend as the top seven finishers not on the overall winning team will move on.
Joining Cason next weekend will be Voenell and Conway. The team is still in play for a possible at-large berth. Final selections will be announced on Monday.
