#21 Men's Soccer Tied by Rutgers-Camden, 1-1, on Late Goal

GLASSBORO, NJ - A late goal by Rutgers-Camden forced a 1-1 tie with #21 Rowan in NJAC men's soccer action today, giving the Profs their fifth tie of the season.

With Rowan (4-3-5; 1-0-2) owning a 1-0 lead since the 22nd minute, Rutgers-Camden (5-5-4; 1-1-2) broke through. A free kick was sent towards a crowd in the box, it appeared to bounce off a Rowan defender, and Rohan Castillo was right in front to put it in the net to put it in at 85:15 for the equalizer.

Ryan Cleary had given the Profs the lead in the first half as he intercepted goalkeeper Sean Boen's goal kick from about 25 yards away. The Profs' co-captain dribbled to the top of the box and sent it into the empty net for his sixth goal of the year.

Rowan's Dylan Aportela made three saves in the game, all in the second half, as the Scarlet Raptors took seven shots in that period.

The Profs will host Washington (MD) in a non-conference match on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m.
