GLASSBORO, NJ -- Rowan suffered a 1-0 defeat to #10 TCNJ at home in the regular season finale Wednesday night.

The Profs will be the #2 seed and have a first-round bye in the NJAC Tournament which kicks off this weekend. The team will host a semifinal game on Wednesday, November 6th and with a win can advance to the NJAC Championship on Saturday, November 9th.

Goalie Calista Burke made six saves, four of which came in the second half. The senior netminder added a pair of gems in net to help keep the game close.

Rowan was held to a season-low four shots on the night but kept the Lions off the scoreboard until the 58th minute on a goal from Ella Van Dine.

Simone Pacetti had a decent look in the 37th minute of the first half but her attempt was stopped by TCNJ's Ellen Williams. Rowan had a prime scoring chance from Olivia Giordano in the 81st minute but her shot from the left side of the box sailed over the net.

Burke turned away an attempt over the crossbar on a nice stop midway through the first half. She would make another stop on a similar play early in the second.

It was the first loss at home in the regular season since a 1-0 overtime decision to Adrian here on September 5, 2021 in the Profs Classic, a span of 33 games.

The Lions earn the #1 playoff seed and will also have a bye to the semifinal round. First-round action gets underway this Saturday as #6 Kean travels to #3 Montclair State while #4 Stockton hosts #5 NJCU.
