LOGAN TOWNSHIP, NJ -- Rowan placed fourth overall in the men's championship race and third in the men's open race to highlight action at the ninth-annual Border Battle at DREAM Park on Saturday.

Joshua Cason was the top Prof in the men's championship 8k race, placing ninth overall (24:42.7).
Miles Voenell (25:29.3) was 30th,
Colin Patterson (25:35.5) 33rd,
Caleb Clevenger (25:42.1) 34th, and
Scott Hubbard (25:42.1) 39th to account towards the team scoring.
Emmauel Leblond of Johns Hopkins set a new course record with his first-place finish (23:52.9). The Blue Jays and Washington & Lee both had 56 team points, just seven behind first place Lynchburg (49 points). The race featured over 275 competitors from 30 institutions.
In the men's open race, the Profs totaled 80 points. Washington & Lee was second (60) with Johns Hopkins (44) taking first.
Tyler Greene (26:31.8) was 12th with
Ethan Fletcher (26:38.1) in 14th,
Sean Hice (26:44.7) in 21st,
Cameron DiTroia (27:04.2) in 27th, and
Ian McCauley (27:23.2) in 34th to round out the team scoring.
Anas Bensaoud of the Hub City Track Club (25:42.3) was the individual winner.
Rowan returns to action on Saturday, November 2nd in the 2024 New Jersey Athletic Conference Cross Country Championship hosted by TCNJ.
