GLASSBORO, NJ -- Rowan took down visiting New Jersey City, 5-0, Wednesday afternoon in a New Jersey Athletic Conference matchup.

Ava Morales scored twice and Olivia Giordano added a goal and an assist to help the Profs improve to 7-0-1 and 2-0 in the NJAC.

Rowan struck early in the contest, as McKenzie Clement made it 1-0 in the fourth minute. Giordano fed Clement with a short through ball into the box where she put home her seventh tally of the year.

Giordano added her team-leading eighth goal in the 13th minute, turning a feed from Lianna SanFelice into a nice two-touch shot in the box. The lead jumped to 3-0 as Julianna Giordano made a long run on the left side around a defender to net her second score this season in the 22nd minute.

Morales potted the first of her two goals in the 34th minute knocking home a loose ball off a corner kick. Her second tally came in the 53rd minute of the second half as she headed in a corner kick from the foot of Sarah Bergan.

Gothic Knight goalie Sophia Mannino made nine saves in 83 minutes of action, with Lorraine Valenzuela recording one stop in relief.

Calista Burke helped put the locks on the sixth team shutout of the year, as the goalie registered one save on the day.

Conference play continues this Saturday as Rowan heads to Rutgers-Newark for a 7 p.m. start.
