Vanessa DiDonato scored a hat trick to help the #8 Rowan field hockey team to a 6-2 win over Arcadia in action today at Coach Richard Wackar Stadium as the Profs improve to 4-2 on the season with their second straight win.

Sidney Pavlishin also got in the scoring column for Rowan.
DiDonato gave Rowan a 2-0 lead in the first quarter, with a pair of goals two minutes apart. Her first came at 6:58 as she picked up a loose ball and pushed it in from five yards out. Then she again collected the loose ball in front and score at 8:29.
Arcadia (2-4) countered with two goals from Morganne Dee, as she carried the ball 40 yards on a breakway, scoring at 13:14. Dee then deflected in Morgan McEntire's shot off a corner to knot the score at 2-2 at 20:01.
Cavicchio scored her first goal of the season as she blasted in a shot off a corner from just inside the circle at 22:14 to provide the eventual gamewinner.
DiDonato finished off her fourth career hat trick as she took a pass from
Mari Tirado through the circle and connected on a turnaround shot from 10 yards away at 26:11 to compile her team-best fifth goal of the season.
Powell added a goal at 43:56, as she tucked it in the net after a defensive save, off the initial shot from Cavicchio, as Pavlishin provided the final margin with a goal at 50:38, assisted by DiDonato.
Aida Ingram played 45 minutes in goal, making three saves, with
Erin Flynn seeing her first action of the year, and stopping one shot in the final quarter.
With the end of a four-game homestand, Rowan heads on the road for four straight, starting with a September 20th game at Haverford.
