Korie Hague singled in Liz McCaffery in the first to get Rowan on the board.

Starter Rylee Lutz worked into the third before the Kohawks scored two runs on two hits with two outs. Emily McCutcheon, who came on to end the third, got out of spot with runners on the corners in the fifth with a grounder to second.

Ellie Thurow relieved Hannah Ausenhus to start the sixth as the duo limited Rowan to just three hits and allowing three walks.

One of those walks came in the seventh as Hague reached on a lead-off free pass. After a fielder's choice to put McKenzie Melvin on first, the sophomore stole second to get into scoring position. Thurow would get back-to-back strikeouts to end it.

Lutz suffered the loss (24-7), allowing the two runs on three hits with two walks and two K's. McCutcheon allowed just three baserunners in a scoreless appearance. Thurow earned the save for Coe, her third, while Ausenhus goes to 15-3 this season with the decision .
