MARIETTA, OHIO --
Payton MacNair's RBI double in the bottom of the eighth gave #20 Rowan a 1-0 walk-off win over Penn State-Berks in an NCAA Regional Tournament contest held at Marietta on Thursday.
The Profs move on to face Pfeiffer on Friday at 11 a.m. as the Falcons defeated the host Pioneers, 13-0, in Thursday's other contest. Marietta and Penn State-Berks meet at 1:30 p.m. in an elimination game.

Scoreless after seven innings, the Lions got a runner on in the top of the eighth with one out but Rowan turned a key 6-4-3 double play to send it to the bottom half.
Devyn DiPasquale hit a one-out bloop single and would later come around to score, hustling around the bases off MacNair's hard hit ball to right that came out of the glove of the streaking right fielder. The relay home was not in time as DiPasquale crossed home to give Rowan the one-run victory.
Rylee Lutz worked all eight innings, striking out eight batters while yielding three hits and three walks to raise her record to 22-4. The sophomore hurler got out of a bases loaded spot in the fifth, inducing a force out at second to end the threat.
Rowan and Pfeiffer previously met in each team's respective season openers back on March 3rd at the  Grand Slam Triangle Classic in Raleigh, North Carolina.
