GLASSBORO, NJ -- Rowan was represented with five Prof Student-Athletes repeating as award winners in the newest weekly honors from the New Jersey Athletic Conference for the week ending April 16th.

For the fourth week in a row, Rylee Lutz has been chosen the NJAC Softball Pitcher of the Week. Elaina Corson earned the NJAC Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for the third time this season and for the second consecutive week. Emily Galvin was selected the NJAC Women's Track & Field Field Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row. In men's track & field, both Greg Poloso (NJAC Field Athlete of the Week) and Kwaku Nkrumah (NJAC Rookie of the Week) scored honors for the second-consecutive week.

Lutz went 3-0 in three appearances, getting wins in two starts and another in relief. The sophomore scattered one earned run on eight hits with four K's and one walk in game one with TCNJ on Tuesday, a 4-3 Rowan win. Lutz then entered to start the sixth in game two and saw the Profs walk if off in the bottom of the eighth to get the win, spinning two shutout innings. On Sunday, she fanned seven over eight innings to grind out a 5-4 victory in extra innings in a victory at Montclair State.

Corson totaled six goals and four assists in the Profs' 1-1 week, starting with two goals and an assist in the loss to fourth-ranked at TCNJ on Tuesday. She followed that by tying her season-high by recording seven points in the 22-1 win over Ramapo, tallying four goals and three assists as Rowan tied its second-highest scoring margin in a game, matching a 22-goal margin in a 23-1 win over Cedar Crest in 1994. Corson is tied for the team scoring lead with 42 points as she has 31 goals and 11 assists on the season.

Galvin broke her own school record in the hammer for the fourth-straight meet, this time with a top mark of 56.17 meters at Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational on Friday night. Galvin still ranks at #1 in the NJAC and now moves up to #3 in Division III.

Poloso bettered his #1 Division III mark in the javelin, tossing 69.23 meters to finish second in the event at the Larry Ellis Invitational.

Nkrumah moved into the top 20 in Division III and #1 in the NJAC with his season-best time at Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational in the 110 meter hurdles (14.60).

This week, #15 Softball (27-3, 10-0 NJAC) travels to Stockton for two games before returning home on Saturday to square off with Kean in a conference doubleheader. Women's Lacrosse (9-4, 1-1 NJAC) welcomes Farmingdale State on Wednesday for Senior Night, then heads to Kean on Saturday in NJAC action. Both the men's and women's track & field teams will be in competition at both the USC Open at the University of South Carolina and at the Widener Invitational.
