GLASSBORO, NJ - For the third year in a row, Rowan was represented on the PhillySIDA Men's Cross Country Academic All-Area Team, as Jacob Riley was selected for the 2023 edition.

In order to be nominated for the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area teams, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.30 or higher during their collegiate career. The teams are voted upon by the sports information offices in the Philadelphia Metro area.

Riley enjoyed a solid 2023 season, after the junior placed third at the NJAC Championship, helping the Profs to its 25th conference title. The exercise science major was also fourth at the NCAA Metro Regional, where he was selected for the NCAA Division III Championship where he was 186th overall.

Joining Riley on the team was Matthew Denton, Seamus Fraser, and Peter LaRochelle of Haverford, Tom Flear from Widener, Cole Stanchina of Chestnut Hill, and Dylan Throop from Penn. LaRochelle was voted the PhillySIDA Men's Cross Country All-Area Performer of the Year.
