MONTCLAIR, NJ -- Rowan and Montclair State played to a scoreless draw Saturday afternoon in New Jersey Athletic Conference women's soccer action in a rematch of last season's conference championship.
The Profs totaled 12 shots on the day, with eight coming in the first half. An early flurry in the game's first minutes produced two looks from
Olivia Giordano that were turned away from Montclair State keeper Haley Martin. Giordano had a game-high four shots (three on goal).
Calista Burke played all 90 minutes in net where she picked up her fifth shutout on the season. Martin recorded five saves for the Red Hawks. Montclair State registered six shots, but none on goal.
Rowan returns to action on Wednesday when Rutgers-Camden visits Glassboro in an NJAC showdown starting at 6 p.m.
