Women's Soccer Gets Two Goals from Clement, Downs Rutgers-Camden, 3-0

Game Highlights

GLASSBORO, NJ -- Two goals from Mackenzie Clement and four saves from goalie Calista Burke helped ignite Rowan to a 3-0 New Jersey Athletic Conference win over visiting Rutgers-Camden Wednesday evening.

Lianna SanFelice added a goal and an assist as the Profs go to 9-0-2 and remain unbeaten in conference play (4-0-1).

Burke made two stops in each half, including a diving stab in the 25th minute off a shot just inside the box.

Clement made it 1-0 in the 12th minute as she gathered a short pass into the right side of the box from SanFelice and fired in her ninth tally on the season. After taking that one-goal lead into halftime, Clement netted her second less than two minutes into the second half. A failed clearing attempt off a Rowan corner kick was corralled by Clement who turned and fired through traffic for the 2-0 edge.

SanFelice capped the scoring less than 10 minutes later as she would score off a scrum on another corner for her second goal on the year.

The Profs outshot the Scarlet Raptors, 24-7 and held a 14-4 corner kick advantage.

Kayla McKeever recorded seven saves for Rutgers-Camden.

The Rowan vs. Ramapo game slated for Saturday, October 14th has been moved up a day to Friday, the 13th in a 6 p.m. start from here in Glassboro.
