NEWARK, NJ -- Rowan ran past Rutgers-Newark, 92-31, Saturday evening, leading from start to finish in a New Jersey Athletic Conference matchup.
Nicole Mallard led the way with a team-high 13 points with
Kate Herlihy adding 12 and
Grace Marshall 11 respectively.
Danielle McCurdy grabbed a career-best 11 rebounds and blocked five shots.
Leading 14-7 after the first quarter, the Profs ran off a 16-3 spurt and later opened up a 40-16 lead at halftime. Rowan hit six of its nine three-pointers in the second half where the team outscored the Scarlet Raiders, 35-5 in the third.
Samiyah Horton paced all scorers with 21 points for Rutgers-Newark.
The Profs return home on Wednesday as Stockton visits in a conference clash beginning at 5:30 p.m.
