GLASSBORO, NJ –
Bridget Guinan scored a hat trick and
Liz Fox tied the school record with four assists, as #2 Rowan (6-0) rolled over Haverford, 7-1, giving head coach
Michelle Andre her 100th victory with the Profs.
It was the fourth hat trick of Guinan's career and her 15th multiple-goal game. Fox had a career-high four assists, all on penalty corners, matching All-American Julie Johnson's single-game mark from 2018.
Andre, now in her seventh season with the Profs, owns a 100-28 record and has guided Rowan to two NJAC Championships, three NCAA Championship berths and two appearances in the NCAA Semifinals.
Guinan opened the scoring in the first quarter, with a shot from just inside the circle off the corner and the pass from Fox.
The Profs dominated in the second quarter, scoring four goals in a span of 10 minutes.
Julia Cavicchio connected on a shot from inside the circle after the pass from Fox on a corner at 16:30.
Morgan Mulvey earned one at 20:05 as she carried the ball 20 yards in and scored at close range for her first goal of the year, while
Julia Patrone followed just two minutes later with a 10-yard shot off a corner and the assist from Fox.
Madison DuBois tallied the first goal of her career, when she knocked in a loose ball in front of the cage at 27:14 to give the Profs a 5-0 lead by halftime.
Guinan finished out the Profs' scoring in the third quarter with both goals originating on corners. Cavicchio took the entry pass and then fed Guinan at the top of the circle, with the senior connecting from 10 yards out. Guinan completed the hat trick just a minute later, taking the pass from Fox, and scoring from just inside the circle.
Haverford (2-4) broke the shutout at 53:32 when Anna Bradley deflected Olivia Arhart's pass from seven yards out.
The Profs held a dominating 20-2 edge in shots and starting goalkeeper
Abby Hainsworth didn't need to make any saves in 45 minutes of action.
Aida Ingram relieved her in the fourth quarter and made stop on two shots.
Rowan heads back on the road to face Alvernia on Wednesday before returning home for a Friday night contest against Cabrini, on September 23.
