DAVENPORT, FL - Ninth-ranked Rowan (7-2) pounded out 14 hits en route to a 9-0 win over Wisconsin La Crosse, 9-0, in baseball action at the RussMatt Invitational. Mike Miles earned the first win of his Rowan career, while Tyler Cannon went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI.Â

Ryan Murphy, Patrick Deficiani, Anthony Schooley and Eric DiDomenico each picked up two hits in the win.Â

Miles had five strikeouts in five innings while Eric Cartafalsa came in relief and pitched three scoreless innings and posted three strikeouts. David Levin finished off the win with three outs in the ninth, including one strikeout.Â

Cannon led off the game with a double and eventually scored on a fielder's choice by Deficiani. DiDomenico singled to drive in Ryan Mostrangeli, who was hit by a pitch as the Profs took a 2-0 lead.Â

Rowan added two more in the third when Cannon doubled to drive in Hernandez and then eventually scored on an error.Â

Schooley brought home Deficiani with a sacrifice fly in the fifth to give Rowan a 5-0 lead.Â

Chris Curcio tripled in the eighth inning to allow Schooley to score to push Rowan's advantage to 6-0 and Marc Hernandez hit a sacrifice fly to score Chris Curcio.Â

The Profs added two more in the eighth when Mostrangeli doubled to bring home Murphy and then pinch hitter Nick Fazio brought home Mostrangeli with a single.Â

Rowan closes out its Florida trip on Friday with a doubleheader in Auburndale, facing Southwest Baptist at 3:15, followed by a game with Amherst.Â
