CLERMONT, FL -- #18 Rowan posted a 11-3 victory over #20 Millikin Monday afternoon down at Legends Way Field in Clermont in a matchup of two teams in the NFCA Poll.

The Profs scored twice in the top of the first and six in the third to build an 8-0 lead. Millikin kept the game going with three runs in the fifth before Rowan tacked on runs in the final two innings.

Korie Hague went 3-for-4 with two runs and two doubles on the day. Payton MacNair walked and added a big three-run double in the third inning while Morgan Zane added two hits and two RBI's. The three RBI's for MacNair tied a career high.

Starter Emily August totaled 5.2 scoreless innings, scattering six hits with four K's and just two walks.

Zane doubled home MacNair and Kaitlyn Riggs knocked in Liz McCaffery in the first for a quick 2-0 lead.

In the third, the Profs plated six runs, five of which were unearned. With two outs and Hague at third, Devyn DiPasquale at second and Grace Shukaitis at first, MacNair smoked one down the line in left to easily clear the bases.

In the sixth, Zane added her second RBI, scoring McKenzie Melvin and in the seventh Hague scored on a sac fly from DiPasquale.

Rowan gets right back at it tomorrow with two games. First, the team squares off with Framingham State at 9 a.m. followed by a matchup with Endicott at 1:30 p.m.
