GALLOWAY, NJ -- Rowan defeated Stockton, 61-53, Tuesday night as the Profs won its New Jersey Athletic Conference opener.

Rowan broke it open in the second quarter, outscoring the Ospreys, 23-15, while shooting 60% in that stanza. Kate Herhily's three-pointer was the catalyst for a 9-0 run to start the period en route to a 34-20 edge at halftime.

Stockton climbed within three points late in the third after a bucket from Emma Morrone made it a 41-38 game. The Profs never led by less than eight points in the final quarter to help notch the victory on the road.
