GLASSBORO, NJ -- Rowan scored a win over Nazareth but fell to Salisbury as the Profs concluded a weekend a quad match on Saturday.
In the first match of the day, the Profs scored a 25-9, 25-22, and 25-14 victory over the Golden Flyers. Double-digit kills from Isabel Kircher (12) and
Courtney Rhoden (11) helped pace the offense.
Abigail Webster stepped in and came up with a career-high 31 assists and added a pair of kills in the win.
After dominating in the first set, the Profs had to catchup from an early deficit in the second where the teams were neck-and-neck throughout. Rowan broke a 19-19 score with three-straight points to go on and claim a 2-0 lead. In the third set, Rowan built a 11-4 edge and did not looking back in securing the win.
Rowan ran into Salisbury in the second match, as the Sea Gulls posted a 25-8, 25-18, 25-21 three-set win. The team churned out 20 kills and finished with more attack errors for the first time this season.
Natalie Ogden registered seven kills and 12 digs, both team highs.
Other action here at Esbjornson Gymnasium saw
Nazareth drop a 3-0 score to Hunter.
Hunter then fell in three sets to Salisbury before the Sea Gulls took on the Profs for the final match of the day.
Rowan now begins in postseason quest next week as the top-seeded Profs will host a semifinal game of the NJAC Tournament on Thursday, November 3rd.
