WAYNE, NJ –
Natalie Pantalone and
Francesca DiColandrea scored first-half goals and
Calista Burke notched the shutout as #20 Rowan defeated William Paterson, 2-0, in NJAC women's soccer action. The Profs remain unbeaten on the year at 11-0-3, and 7-0-1 in the conference.
Burke made two saves to record her 10th shutout of the season.
The Profs scored right away as Pantalone headed in the first goal off a corner kick from
Sarah Bergan at 4:03.
DiColandrea added to the lead at 37:34 with a goal, that was assisted by
Gabby Dean.
Rowan dominated on the offensive end, with a 16-2 advantage in shots, while forcing William Paterson keeper Sarah Mantilla to make nine saves.
The Profs will close out the regular season at home on Wednesday, October 26 against Stockton, with a 5 p.m. start.
