NEW ORLEANS, LA -- Rowan's Men's Cross Country Team picked up academic awards from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA)

Jeff Stewart were named as a 2021 USTFCCCA Division III Men's Cross Country All-Academic Athlete. As a whole, the Profs cume GPA of 3.56 earned them a spot as one of the USTFCCA Division III All-Academic Teams.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet. For All-Academic team distinction, schools must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.
This is the 14th season in a row that Rowan has been honored with the individual and team academic awards.
Overall, there were 137 programs who were named All-Academic Teams for their efforts during the 2021 season. Individually, a total of 248 men from 91 different institutions were named All-Academic Athletes.
Lauer, Riley, and Stewart all were named all-region after the NCAA Metro Regional Championship. The Profs as a team placed fourth overall and were third overall at the NJAC Championships. Additionally Riley and Stewart were selected All-NJAC at the conference championship.
At the NCAA Division III Championships, Lauer represented Rowan where he had a season-best time in an 8k race this season.
