GLASSBORO, NJ -- The Rowan Men's Swimming & Diving Team defeated The College of New Jersey, 167-133, on Saturday afternoon to claim the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship.
It is the 18th title in program history and fifth in the last six seasons as the team did not compete in 2020-21. The conference awards its champion through regular-season competition amongst the schools. The 19th-ranked (CSCAA) Profs finished with a perfect 4-0 league mark.

Kevin Gillooly led the charge with three individual wins and another in the relay. Gillooly was first in the 100 backstroke (50.83), 100 free (45.01), and 100 fly (49.50). He teamed up with
Greg Cann,
Andrew Fenton, and
Dylan Regan to capture the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:32.94.
Tobias Cahnbley won two events as well, taking first in the 1000 free (9:42.03) and the 200 backstroke (1:50.86), both season bests.
Fenton also was first in the 50 free with a season-best time (20.95). Other first-place finishers on the day included
Joe Rucci in the 200 butterfly (1:52.86), and
Alex Volin in the 500 free (4:46.48).
The team will host its final dual meet of the season on Saturday, February 5th, as the Profs welcome Merchant Marine to the Tony Lisa Natatorium.
