GLASSBORO, NJ - Rowan's men's cross country team is back on the course this fall, returning after the 2020 season was canceled due to the pandemic. The Profs will open competition on September 4 at the Salisbury Classic.
SCHEDULE
The Profs will host their annual Bill Fritz Invitational on Saturday, September 11, at Dream Park in Logan Township, NJ.
Rowan then travels to Van Cortlandt Park in New York for the Iona Meet of Champions on September 17 and will take part in the Paul Short Run at Lehigh on October 1.
Rowan returns to host the Border Battle on October 16 at Dream Park, in its final tune-up for the NJAC Championships, which will be held on October 30.
The NCAA Atlantic Regional is scheduled for November 13 with the NCAA Championship set for November 20.
We are excited to have a cross country season and feel our schedule will prepare us well to contend for an NJAC title and return to the NCAA Championships as a team. Competing against good DI teams in the meets at Iona and Lehigh will prepare us for our own Border Battle where we will face ranked DIII teams from across the country," said head coach
Dustin Dimit. "Participating in the new NCAA Metro Region is exciting as it will give us new teams to compete with as we try to earn a team berth at the NCAA Championships."
Among the top returners for Rowan are Dario Epifania, who was the 2019 NJAC Rookie of the Year, along with All-Conference First Team selection Kevin Lauer and junior Jeff Stewart. In 2019, Rowan finished second at the NJAC Championships and placed ninth at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals.
