Cheeseman Competes In Heptathlon At NJAC Championships

EWING, NJ – Rowan's Emily Cheeseman finished sixth in the heptathlon at the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championships.  She collected 2930 points over the seven events.
 
The heptathlon was held on Wednesday and Thursday, May 5 and 6 at The College of New Jersey.  The NJAC Championships continue on Saturday, May 8 at Ramapo College at 11 a.m.
 
Cheeseman came in fourth (2:47.06) in the 800 meters.  The sophomore took sixth in the long jump with 14' 3.25" (4.35 m).  She threw the javelin 49' 4" (15.05 m) for seventh place. 

On Wednesday, Cheeseman came in third in the 200 meters with a time of 27.75 and was fourth (24' 7", 7.49 m) in the shot put.  She finished sixth (18.58) in the 100 meter hurdles and was tied for seventh (4' 4", 1.32 m) in the high jump.
