UPPER MONTCLAIR, NJ -- Rowan returned to the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship for the first time since 2018 as the third-seeded Profs took down second-seeded Montclair State, 1-0, in a semifinal matchup Tuesday evening.

The Profs will play at top-seeded TCNJ on Friday in the NJAC Tournament Final beginning at 6:30 p.m. The Lions advanced to the title game with its 2-0 win over Stockton in Monday's other semifinal.

Aiden Sheehan scored her second-straight game winning playoff goal as the senior knocked in her tenth tally of the season in the 12th minute from an assist from Nina Carlson.

The Rowan defense withstood 16 shots, including 13 attempts in the second half. RU goalie Bristol Pizzuto was up to the task, as she notched nine saves total with seven after halftime to claim her eighth shutout of the year.

Haley Martin had three saves for the Red Hawks.
