LOGAN TWP., NJ – Kevin Lauer finished in eighth place to lead the Rowan men's cross country team at the NCAA Division III Metro Regional Championship, hosted by the Profs at the DREAM Park. Rowan finished fourth in the team standings with 121 points.

Lauer covered the 8k course in 25:48.57.
 
Jeff Stewart was the Profs' next highest finisher in 12th place (26:13.91), with Jacob Riley placing 20th (26:26.05) and Noah Cziryak placing 30th (26:39.31). Placewinners that finish in the top 35 are named all region.
 
Chris Andersen of Ramapo was the individual winner (25:03.2) but it was Haverford taking home the team title with 50 points, 49 points ahead of runner-up TCNJ.

Head coach Dustin Dimit was happy for Lauer. "Kevin making it on to NCAA's is a great accomplishment and we are excited to see what he can do next week in Louisville. We had a good overall finish with four guys earning all-region honors".

The 2021 Division III men's and women's cross country championship selections will be released Sunday, Nov. 14 and can be found on NCAA.com.

Thirty-two teams per gender will be selected for the championships. Ten on each side will automatically qualify (one per region, from regional championships) while the remaining 22 for each of the men's and women's championships will be picked at-large.

The championship finals will be at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky hosted by the Louisville Sports Commission and Spalding University on Saturday, Nov. 20.
