YORK, PA. -- The Rowan University Women's Soccer Team was on the wrong end of a 2-1 decision at York College in non-league action Wednesday evening.

Cassidy McErlain netted the Profs' lone goal in the second half while goalie Bristol Pizzuto recorded four saves.

The stats were very similar for both teams, with Rowan holding an edge in shots, 11-10, but the Spartans holding a 4-2 advantage in corners.

After a scoreless first half, York made it 1-0 in the 55th minute on a goal from Erin Snyder. The home team upped the deficit to 2-0 on Caitlyn Findlay's tally in the 72nd minute.

McErlain would net her second on the season just over two minutes later but more importantly, cutting the lead in half. The Profs were awarded a corner kick in the final minute, but were unable to get the equalizer.

Cat McCarty made two saves for the Spartans.

Rowan returns home for a NJAC matchup with William Paterson this Saturday in a 1 p.m. start.
