Women's Soccer Advances In NJAC Tournament, Defeats Rutgers-Camden, 1-0

2021 NJAC Tournament First-Round Game

GLASSBORO, NJ -- Aiden Sheehan's goal in the third minute was the difference to help Rowan defeat Rutgers-Camden, 1-0, in a first-round game in the 2021 NJAC Women's Soccer Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

Goalie Bristol Pizzuto recorded a pair of saves as the Prof defense collected its ninth clean sheet of the season.

Rowan now advances to the semifinal round, where the team plays at #2 Montclair State on Tuesday night beginning at 7 p.m.

Sheehan netted her team-leading ninth goal just 2:23 into the contest from an assist by Sarah Bergan.

The team had six shots in each half and held a 6-0 edge in corner kicks.

For the Scarlet Raptors, goalie Chloe Beasley also made two stops.

In the team's previous meeting this year, the Red Hawks clipped the Profs, 2-1, in Upper Montclair back on October 23rd.
