GLASSBORO, NJ -- Rowan closed out its regular season with two wins in a home trimatch on Saturday. The Profs picked up a pair of sweeps in defeating Brooklyn, 25-11, 25-19, and 25-14, and Mount Saint Mary, 25-10, 25-18, and 25-10.
In the sandwich match, Brooklyn defeated Mount Saint Mary, 3-1 (20-25, 25-16, 25-19, and 25-15).
Rowan is the top seed in next week's NJAC Tournament and have earned a first-round bye. The Profs await the winner of Kean and Rutgers-Camden here for a semifinal matchup on Wednesday, November 4th.
Against the Bulldogs, Rowan served up 13 aces and added nine blocks (three solo). 10 kills from 
Natalie Ogden ad nine from 
Brianna Newson helped spark the offense. 
Brooke Adams and 
Abigail Webster each registered four aces. 
Geena Edmanson added four block (one solo) along with two kills.
The team cruised in the first set, using a 18-1 run to jump ahead. The theme continued in the second, as the team scored the first five points and later opened up a one-point lead (18-17) with five of their own in a row for some breathing room. Another late scoring push in the third turned the tide for good, thanks to a 9-1 stretch for a 24-11 lead.
Ogden again led the team in kills against the Knights, totaling 11. Edmanson was once again a force in the middle, totaling four blocks.
Five-straight points in the first set gave Rowan a 19-13 lead, one they held on to go up, 1-0. In the second, Rowan roared back from a 10-8 deficit with seven points in a row, capped by a big kill from 
Cassidy Abdalla. Another five-point burst put the home team up eight (21-13), where they went on to go up 2-0. The third set had the Profs race out to an 8-1 lead and not look back.
