GLASSBORO, NJ -- This Saturday, both the Rowan women's and men's soccer teams will begin their postseason paths with a pair of first-round games in the NJAC Tournament here at home.
The women's squad, the tournament's third seed, is hosting Rutgers-Camden, the sixth seed, beginning at 1 p.m. The fourth-seeded men's team entertains fifth-seeded Stockton in the other first-round game in a 6 p.m. start. Both games will have live video and live stats.

The women's team enters the game at 13-4 on the season and winners in five of their last six contests while Rutgers-Camden stands at 5-9-2. It is a rematch of Wednesday's regular-season finale in which the Profs rallied from a 2-0 deficit, scoring twice in the latter moments of the contest to secure a 3-2 victory over the Scarlet Raptors. Rowan is led by
Aidan Sheehan, who ranks third in the NJAC in goals (8) and is in a three-way tie for second in points (19). The offense also features 14 different Profs with at least one goal and six players with at least three goals each. Goalie
Bristol Pizzuto spearheads the defense as she boasts a 0.77 goals against average and a .826 save percentage, stats that have her ranked in the top three in the NJAC in those categories. Lindsay Hernandez leads Rutgers-Camden with nine points on four goals and an assist with keeper Chloe Beasley owning 1.11 GA in 11 starts. Saturday's winner advances to face #2 Montclair State in a semifinal matchup on Tuesday.

In their regular season matchup, the men's team got two goals from
Chad Yates, including a big overtime winner in a 2-1 decision here in Glassboro back on October 13th. The Profs have a record of 10-4-1 and concluded the regular season with its fifth shutout of the season in Wednesday's 3-0 score at Rutgers-Camden. Yates is second on the team points (13) and goals (5) behind
Wilby Alfred's seven goals and 16 points. Alfred and
Leo Montesinos each have four assists to lead the squad. In goal,
James Weinberg has a 1.11 goals against average as the senior has played every minute of all 14 games this year. Joseph Carbone and Ervin Gjeli each have amassed 20 points for the Ospreys who are at 9-8-2 but have one just once in their last six games. The winner Saturday night will also have to travel to Montclair State, the tournament's top seed for a semifinal game on Wednesday.
