JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- The Rowan University Women's Soccer Team posted a 3-0 shutout win at Jersey City Saturday afternoon.
Three freshmen paced the offense on the day as
Jillian Jankowski,
Gabby Dean, and
Emma DeMaise all tallied while the defense and netminder
Bristol Pizzuto posted her fifth clean sheet of the season.
The Profs held a 21-2 shooting advantage including 12 attempts in the first half. Jankowski got the squad on the board in the tenth minute as the freshman potted her first collegiate goal.
Arianna Durling drew the assist to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. Dean made it 2-0 in the 30th minute off an assist from
Aidan Sheehan with her first career goal.
DeMaise capped the scoring by notching a penalty kick goal in the 52nd minute for her second score of the season.
Gothic Knight goalie Marissa Lotierzo made nine saves for NJCU.
Rowan returns to action on Wednesday when they visit York College of Pennsylvania in a 7 p.m. start.
